From Harry Hill to Frank Skinner: 2025 Golden Lobes Crown the Funniest Podcasts in Audio

The inaugural Golden Lobes Podcast Awards, powered by Adelicious, brought together the best and funniest voices in podcasting for a raucous, star-studded ceremony at The Clapham Grand. 

Celebrating over 200 submissions across indie upstarts, comedy legends and everything in between, the Lobes honoured the full range of global podcasting talent—from household names to hidden gems. 

Big Wins, Indie Hits and a Lobes Legend 

This Paranormal Life took home the top prize, The Big Ears Award (Funniest Podcast), recognised for its consistently hilarious take on the world’s weirdest mysteries. 

Meanwhile, Harry Hill earned Best Earworm for Are We There Yet?, with judges raving: 

“Properly laughed at the mad variety of this and the montage/medley elements really added to it. Highly stimulating in the best way… A triumph!” 

The Best Guest award went to Joe Marler’s Things People Do, for a standout appearance by Josh, a Bristol chimney sweep: 

“A natural born storyteller with wonderful cadence and rhythm… this is the kind of clip you’d send to your mates. It’s very, very funny.” 

Harford: An Oral History was named Best Scripted Podcast, leading a highly competitive field. It was joined by Oz 9 as a Highly Commended entry for its clever, character-driven sci-fi comedy. 

Elsewhere, Lateral won Best Live Show, CheapShow scooped Grower Not a Shower, and Legitimate Likes picked up the fan-voted Listener’s Lobe. 

The night ended with a standing ovation as Frank Skinner received the inaugural Lobes Legend Award for Services to Funny Audio, honouring his decades-long contribution to comedy behind the mic.
