Nominations for the 2026 Golden Lobes Podcast Awards have been revealed, celebrating the funniest podcasts, creators, and moments in the audio industry.

Top Contenders and Notable Nods

Leading the nominations is comedian Sam Lake’s I’ve Had A Rosé, Let’s Talk About Feelings, which has bagged six nominations, including The Big Ears Award for Funniest Show of the Year.

Other highlights include:

  • Tom Davis & Romesh Ranganathan – Best Live Show for Wolf and Owl

  • Olga Koch & Catherine Bohart – Best New Show for Tonsil Hockey

  • Stuart Goldsmith – Behind The Scenes Hero for The Comedian's Comedian Podcast

  • Pierre Novellie, Sarah Keyworth, Glenn Moore – Best Listener Moment for Button Boys

  • Sir Andy Murray – Best Guest for The Romesh Ranganathan Show

Andy Murray: New Balls, Big Laughs

Despite being unfairly branded as “boring” early in his career, Sir Andy Murray has become a master of dry humour, blending wit and understatement in a way that’s uniquely his own. This year, he’s nominated for Best Guest after a side-splitting appearance on the Romesh Ranganathan show, proving that even world-class athletes can ace comedy.

Murray joins a playful-yet-prestigious list of nominees, cementing the Golden Lobes as the awards where unexpected guests can shine just as brightly as established comedians.

Indie Shows and Sharp Scripts Take Centre Stage

The Best Scripted category was this year’s most entered, proving that comedy audiences are hungry for clever writing as much as laughs. This award celebrates podcasts where the pen - or keyboard - is mightier than the mic: from full-cast audio sitcoms and bite-sized skits to deadpan narrators delivering razor-sharp lines, these shows show that every word, pause, and punchline is crafted to perfection.

Independently produced podcasts are hitting harder than ever. From sheds, bedrooms, and tiny studios, creators are bringing their A-game to the Clapham Grand, showing that creativity and wit matter more than budget or fancy equipment. The Golden Lobes’ open-door ethos means anyone with a funny bone has a chance to shine alongside household names.

A Growing Celebration of Funny Podcasts

Now in their second year, the Golden Lobes Podcast Awards celebrate the very best in comedy podcasting, spotlighting independent creators alongside established names.

The awards are produced by the team behind Cheerful Earful (that's us!), an international comedy podcast festival spanning three continents. Together, they aim to create a platform that is accessible, affordable and focused on recognising great comedy.

When and Where Are the Golden Lobes 2026?

Winners will be announced on 6 May 2026 at The Clapham Grand in London.

The ceremony will be hosted by kings of the internet, Jake Bhardwaj and Max Fosh, with appearances from familiar faces across the podcast and comedy worlds.

Alongside trophies, winners will receive prizes worth over £5,000 from sponsors and partners, including studio time, professional subscriptions, industry promotion and live show filming opportunities.

Tickets and Tables to the awards ceremony are available to buy now.

What the Organisers Say

“It’s genuinely heartwarming to see independent podcasters sharing the spotlight with publishing powerhouses and household-name comedians,” said Giles Gear, founder of Cheerful Earful. “This year’s shortlist once again proves that the Golden Lobes are a real level playing field.”
“There is nowhere more suitable for a global award ceremony than Clapham Junction,” added Ally Wolf, Venue Manager of The Clapham Grand. “Home of Europe’s busiest train station and, of course, The Clapham Grand — an International Palace of Worldwide Variety.”
