We’re on a mission to celebrate funny podcasts.
Cheerful Earful is a global festival of funny podcasts. Now in its 4th year, we span London, Melbourne, and NYC, showcasing everything from hidden gems to household-name shows. With nearly 5,000 attendees, we’ve built a lively, grassroots community where creators and fans come together to laugh, connect, and celebrate the power of comedy podcasts.
But we don’t stop there - The Golden Lobes are our spin-off event, taking the celebration to the next level. Launched in 2025, these comedy podcast awards recognise and reward the funniest shows of all shapes and sizes. The awards continue Cheerful Earful’s legacy of shining a light on the podcasts that keep us laughing, week after week.
Together, Cheerful Earful and The Golden Lobes make up a vibrant, creator-first space for podcasters, fans, and industry figures. Whether it's celebrating podcasts live at the festival or spotlighting the best in the biz at the awards, we’re here to keep the laughter going and the community growing.
Celebrate
comedy-podcasts, giving audiences the chance to see their favourite shows live as well as discovering new gems.
Champion
smaller and indie podcasts, showcasing them to a wider audience and encouraging further discovery.

with friends and partners in the industry to grow the festival creatively and considerably, encouraging partnerships beyond well beyond the festival dates.
Accessible
Entries are welcome from any genre of shows with submissions capped at 5 minutes.
Affordable
Enter unlimited categories for a flat fee of £25. There should be no barriers to rewarding podcasters.
Fun
Putting together your best bits shouldn't be a slog or distract from your day job - enjoy reliving your funniest bloopers or off-the-cuff rants!
